Directions | Parking | Camp Map
Is there parking on-site? Yep! There should be ample parking for everyone invited. For those interested in bringing an RV, please talk to us beforehand so we for sure know we have enough space to make it work.
What's the address at camp?
243 4-H Camp Road, Swanton, MD 21561
Here's a link to a map in Google.
RSVP

Can I bring the kids or my mom? Absolutely, we'd love to see the whole family! We just need to know ahead of time. We have a total limit for number of people on property, and we need numbers for catering and food the rest of the weekend so no one goes hungry.
Can I bring the dog? Unfortunately that one is a no. 4-H rules specifically state we cannot have dogs on property. We have to leave our furbabies at home this weekend as well.
Can I bring a +1? Sure. As long as we have room at camp, the more the merrier!
When should I RSVP by? We request that you respond by 10/1/25, if you will be joining us for the ceremony and reception on Saturday. That requirement is for the caterer. Beyond that, if you could let us know if you'll be with us Friday, Saturday day, and/or Sunday, please respond no later than 9/1/25. We need to purchase food for the rest of the weekend and will need to know ahead of time. If you need to make any changes past that point, please let us know via text, email, or the form at the top of the page.
How do I RSVP? Online! Click here. We opted not to have paper RSVP cards because there are just too many questions to ask you! If you can't make the RSVP link work, please let us know and we'll find an alternative.

GUEST LIST
LOCAL & OFF-SITE
ACCOMMODATIONS
Are there any reserved blocks at local hotels? We did not reserve anything at any of the local hotels. We're hoping we can convince you to rough it for the weekend and hang out with us. But we know that not everyone is able (or interested!) in doing so, and we won't hold it against you if you choose to stay off-site, or not stay at all. Totally up to you!
Will there be electricity in the cabins? Yes! Hallelujah, there will be electric in the cabins. Which means you can charge all the things. Bring ane extension cord! ;)
Will there be heat in the cabins? No. There is no heat in the cabins, BUT we're allowed to bring space heaters.
If I stay in a cabin, will I have to share it with people I don't know? The big cabins hold up to twelve people each, so it's extremely unlikely that you'd be with someone you don't know. We're planning to group together people who know (and like) each other. If you have preferences, let us know. (There's a question about that on the RSVP.)
Do my kids have to stay in the same cabin as me? If they're under 13 or you have any concerns about them functioning/surviving on their own, they probably should. We are thinking of having a cabin or two for just the teenagers, but that's totally dependent on quantity and viability. Let us know if that's an option you'd like to consider!
Do the cabins have bathrooms? The large cabins do not have bathrooms, however all cabin clusters are within short distance to a bathhouse. If you want or need to be closer to the bathhouse, please let us know when you RSVP.

What else is there to do around town? Lots! Lists forthcoming!
Is camp accessible by wheelchair? Much of it is, yes. Several of the cabins have stairs, but others have ramps. We have a plan for those who need more accessible options. If that's you or someone in your party, please let us know when you RSVP so that we can plan ahead.
Will there be wifi or internet at camp? Kind of. Wifi is the strongest in the Lodge, but we've been told it's iffy through the rest of camp.
What is the 58th Annual Autumn Glory Festival? It's actually the week before the wedding, so don't worry about it too much, but be aware that it's Oakland's "come look at all our pretty trees" week, and local hotels/B&Bs will fill quickly. You can learn more here.
"Oakland’s Autumn Glory Festival is five October days dedicated to one of the greatest natural shows on Earth. Celebrate local fall foliage with concerts, corn mazes, art exhibits, two show-stopping parades and more. Of course, the festival wouldn’t be complete without its fall foliage driving tours through the beautiful sites of the Garrett County Heritage Area."
Do I have to stay in a cabin? Nope! But they're included in our weekend rental, have electricity, and sure beats driving all the way home. You're also welcome to bring a tent, hammock, RV, or stay off-site at one of the local B&Bs!
SHOES

"DRESS CODE"
What kind of shoes should I wear for the ceremony? Weather permitting, the ceremony will be down by the fire circle, which is past the dining hall, down some stairs, and across a field. There will be a more accessible way around, but for the most part, we strongly suggest sensible shoes. (As of writing this, Liza still has no idea what kind of shoes she'll be wearing, and hiking boots go with wedding dresses, right?)
How about the rest of the evening? Dinner will be in the Lodge, and any shoe is acceptable. Be comfortable!
What shoes should I bring for the rest of the weekend? We suggest whatever you'd bring to summer camp that is comfortable for walking and hanging out. Hiking boots or sneakers for around camp, crocs or water shoes for bath house and the lake.
What does one wear to a camp wedding? Honestly, that's a great question and we haven't figured it out yet. The interwebs say "dressy casual" is appropriate for a fall camp-themed wedding.
Wtf is dressy casual in this context? Jeans and a nice button down, an excuse to wear the pretty fall dress you have in the back of your closet, a warm sweater. It'll be late October, so let's assume it'll probably be not-super-warm outside for the ceremony, and you should layer up. We'd much prefer everyone be practical and comfortable. Once we're inside for dinner and fun, it will (theoretically?) be warmer and we can un-layer.
But what are you wearing? Liza found a ridiculously pretty dress that'll probably just get dirty, Alex is wearing a button-down and a fancy vest. Shenandoah has another pretty dress, and the boys will be (tortured, oh, the horrors!) in something that will probably make them complain.

FOOD & MEALS
Do I need to bring food with me? Nope. Meals will be provided all weekend - as long as you let us know when you'll be there.
Can I bring snacks or food to share? You can absolutely bring snacks with you (personal or to share) and store them in the camp kitchen in the dining hall. (You should NOT store any food in your cabin or tent.)
What happens if I (or someone in my party) has allergies or food restrictions? We are planning to have a vegetarian option included with dinner on Saturday evening, however if you have additional requirements (gluten-free, no pork, no added sugar, etc), please let us know when you RSVP, especially if you are planning to hang with us for the weekend. We want to make sure we have liquids and food you can eat!
What if I really just don't like a particular food? You can let us know that, too. Liza doesn't eat seafood or coconut, so we get it. Well. Liza gets it. Alex thinks she's weird.
What kind of food will be served over the course of the weekend? More info on the weekend's meals can be found here.
PACKING LIST & GEAR
What should I bring? We'll come back to that...
I saw on the packing list that I should bring a _____, but I don't have a _____. What should I do? Start by letting us know in advance as much as possible. Chances are we have an extra, or someone we know has one you can borrow. Absolute worst case scenario, we can give suggestions for purchases.

How will updates or changes be communicated PRIOR to the weekend? Prior to the weekend at camp, there shouldn't be any major changes. Minor changes (eg, adding or changing the availability of an activity, etc) will be communicated on the Updates page of our website. Major changes (eg, venue destroyed by zombie attack, groom eaten by pet cat, etc) will be communicated via text, email, or phone, as well as listed on the Updates page..
How will updates or changes be communicated DURING the weekend? During the weekend, we'll provide a list of who to talk to for various issues that may arise.
CHANGES & UPDATES
TIMING & ITINERARY
For the wedding day itinerary:
What time is the ceremony? As of this writing, we are aiming to have the ceremony at 3:30 to 4pm. As we are approaching this event with a bit of a laissez-faire leaning, let's say 3:30pm-ish.
What time time should I arrive for the ceremony? It would be wonderful if everyone were at the ceremony site no later than 3:15pm. If you're coming just for the ceremony, aim to be on property no later than 2:45pm so that you have time to park and walk down to the water. There will be signs letting you know where to go, as well as where to park.
What time should I arrive for the weekend? Any time after 3pm on Friday. We're planning to get there a little earlier to do a walk-through with the camp guy.
What will the weather be like that weekend? It's October, in the mountains, in Maryland. If you're thinking that sounds unpredictable, you're probably right. We'll update the weather forecast when we're cloer to the date, but as of right now, assume you should bring layers - it could be shorts weather, it could be scarf weather!
Is the reception dinner indoors? The reception dinner will be indoors in a heated building.
Is the ceremony indoors? The ceremony will be outdoors as long as it's not raining. If the weather is inclement, we'll move it indoors.
What has the weather been like historically during on October 17th, 18th, and 19th? So glad you asked. We compiled weather data for the Morganstown, WV, Airport (about an hour away) for the past ten years. The historical data for that area is a low of 44*, high of 65* for that weekend. (And if you're interested in the raw data, click here.)
WEATHER-RELATED QUESTIONS
PHOTOGRAPHY
Can I take photos? Yes, please! We'd LOVE for you to share any photos you take during the weekend. But please stay out of the way of the professional photographer doing their thing. As much as we love every one of you, we'd prefer not to have super expensive pictures of the back of your head. :)
So, where can I find the photos afterward? We'll provide a link when the weekend arrives and highly encourage everyone to upload their photos to be shared. The more the merrier! :)
Can I post photos from the weekend to social media? Obviously we Googled "common FAQs for weddings" when creating this section. Lol. Yeah, we don't care. Bonus points if you remember to share them with us, though. :)
I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual option to view the ceremony? Unfortunately, no. The wifi down by the lake is unreliable, and we're not confident we can make that work.
Will there be a place to share the photos? (You knew this was coming, right?) Absolutely. We'll provide a QR code and a link when the weekend arrives, and highly encourage everyone to upload their photos to be shared. (Liza loves photos.)
Do you have a wedding hashtag? ...no. But if you're looking for a way to get everything in one place - #campwolf2025.

Why on earth are you getting married at a summer camp? Remember all those times when we wished we'd had an adult beverage while sitting around the campfire? We couldn't think of a better way to start our marriage than hanging out with our people for an entire weekend.
Are you changing your name? Alex plans to keep his last name. Liza plans to change her name to Wolf after the wedding.
